A Productive morning routine for Success!

 

We all want more balance in our lives and to slooow down. Maybe Covid was a wake up call for you to slow the f down!!

 

I can’t stress enough how important a morning routine is for your mind, body, & soul and to increase productivity. I used to not be a morning person but, I love the calm + stillness of the a.m.

Remember to: Get enough sleep & eat right the day before!

 

Here is the 5 habits you should adopt. 

 

  1. Stop hitting snooze, it will kill your productivity for 4 hrs. So when your alarm goes off you wake up and then when you snooze it goes back into another sleep cycle and screw you up. Its called sleep inertia & will kill your day. Count 5,4,3,2,1 and wake the f up!
  2. Don’t look at your phone, Meditate instead, check out Insight timer my fav, it’s free.Meditating will you set a calm & productive tone for the rest of the day. 
  3. Write in a Journal- Set your intention for the day, and journal out anything you that is challenging you or how you want your day to go! 
  4. Plan your day!!- Prioritize your task that will get you close to achieving your goals! Need help, that’s why I am here!! Use a calendar, notes, and limit to 5-6 tasks per day so you aren’t overwhelmed.
  5. Eat the Frog- Start the day with the worst task. You will procrastinate all day if you don’t do it first. Then, you will have a sense of relief
  6. Listen to a podcast- Learn something new or something that motivates you 
  7. Exercise- Move your body for 20 min. Research shows that it is the perfect way to start your morning off so you are productive. It helps your body wake up and brain. You can always go for a walk, do yoga, or something you enjoy. 
  8. Eat right- Healthy breakfast- Fill your body up with good things, you are what you eat. Green smoothie with protein powder or a green juice to get your day started. You can throw in matcha for a caffeine kick.
  9. Get ready no matter- Get dressed and trick your Brain it is in work mode. If you are in sweats all day you will be lazy and lay on the couch. 
  10. Finally, take time for yourself + have fun. Do things you love!! Dance & listen to music.

 

This isn’t about being perfect, this is you being then you were the day before and moving into your higher self!
